Rule (1) - Thou shalt listen to your Admins, Glob-Mods & Mods
Don't let the satire of this message board fool you into thinking the Big Wigs are incompetent and cannot properly manage a community. Because we can and we will. If you're told by a Higher-up to stop what you're doing, you will stop or you'll be gone before you know what hit you.

Rule (2) - Thou shalt type coherently, lest you become a laughing stock
Nobody's perfect, yet if you've somehow mustered the wit to join this forum in the first place then you must've made some leaps and bounds in literary education. Apply it! We're not expecting you to come in with writing skills akin to a 16th century poet but let's keep our MySpace lingo where it belongs.

Rule (3) - The Verdict on Swearing
We're all adults here. I think after less-than-careful observation anybody can firmly establish that the Online Sonic Fanbase is far from being the mob of prepubescent children that it's believed to be by the general public. This message board encourages freedom of speech and swearing is by all means allowed, but doing it incessantly just for its own sake is just as obnoxious as being a prudish lemming. Swear within your own limits of reason, whatever they may be.

Rule (4) - Thou shalt post in the right board
Because not doing so makes you look stupid. Here's my method: take ten seconds before posting to consider the topic your post outlines and then act accordingly.

Rule (5) - Thou shalt not be an ass
Let's try distancing ourselves from the norm of internet arguing and speak as if we're in debate class! If you really want to be crude, PM the member you're targeting. Keep it out of the boards, nobody else wants to hear it.

Rule (6) - Thou shalt not spam
We don't want your credit cards, vacuum cleaners, or 2nd rate Sonic sites. Shoo.

Rule (7) - Thou shalt size your graphics in sync with the rest
Your 230 x 129 Japanese Schoolgirl Avatar is going to be shrunk to a size adapting C:MMB protocol (100 x 100) whether you like it or not so you might as well whip out Photoshop and hit up 'Image Size.' Don't forget to constrain the proportions, it shouldn't deform her too much.
